Inspectorate opens Basin facility

A new oil and gas service facility opened in the Midland-Odessa area earlier this week.

Inspectorate, a multinational inspection, sampling and testing services group, announced Tuesday that it will now provide services to the Permian Basin including sampling and gauging, terminal inventories, key point crude testing and water-draws.

Inspectorate’s team is also trained and equipped to package and ship samples of dangerous goods.

Within the next year, Inspectorate will integrate into Bureau Veritas, which acquired the company in 2010 as part of its global commodities strategy.

“The opening of the Midland facility continues our expansion into the upstream oil and gas market, and congirms our commitment to support growing testing and measurement needs in West Texas,” said Fred Hutchings, Senior Vice President for Commodities at Bureau Veritas. “With the opening of this facility Inspectorate offers clients a one-stop-shop for full-scope product analysis, measurement allocation, calibration services, meter proving and repair in the booming Permian region.”
