TxDOT project under way in Odessa

Construction crews will be working in the area during the next few weeks as part of ongoing Texas Department of Transportation projects.

According to a TxDOT news release, FNH Construction of Farmers Branch will be working in both Odessa and Kermit.

Workers will repair concrete that holds decorative pavers in place at intersections on Highway 385 between Fourth Street and Eighth Street, according to a news release.

The intersections will remain open and access to parking will be available, according to the release, although some daytime and nighttime closures will be necessary, according to the release.

The construction should be completed by July 20.

FNH Construction also will be starting construction later in the month in Kermit on Highway 18 at Jeffee Drive, near the Kermit football stadium, according to the release.

The four-lane highway will be narrowed to two lanes while the work is done, and traffic will be closed on Jeffee Drive when the work moves there for a few days and nights, according to the release.

The repairs will cost $382,750.06.
